hm.... I don't know what it is. I don't think it can be pinpointed exactly, but the eyes in your work seem to have this Mona Lisa quality. The viewer wonders what lies within the soulful, pensive expression, which demands a longer study than just a quick, passing glance.
Very nice.
I'm assuming the Bloom of jellyfish around her are indicative of the fact that she is still in bloom herself.
While her gentle grip on the white rose represents her innocence. Her facial expression seems to convey a feeling of being shy but curious.
The title would suggest that the unfolding events did not pan out so well.
Anyway, I could be way off from what you where thinking,
but it made me think so I thought I'd share my projection with you.
